What role do perceptions of fairness play in how people evaluate and cope with aircraft noise? How can social justice research contribute to better aircraft noise management?
This dissertation addresses fairness in the context of aircraft noise research. The studies conducted for it are part of the EU project ANIMA (Aviation Noise Impact Management through Novel Approaches, Grant Agreement No. 769627). Taken together, the three articles presented in the dissertation shed new light on aircraft noise management from the perspective of social justice research. Combining a literature review with qualitative and quantitative research methods, the dissertation offers a comprehensive view of the role of fairness in aircraft noise research.
